Old multimode 2 test

Hi to all, this is my first post here
I have two ham international multimode 2
CB radios that I am trying to up and running is been about 30yrs since I’ve messed with them, I’ve made a 2TLT/coax dipole antenna But I can’t receive any signals maybe there is no one out there around the Fylde area, these radioes could have faults etc.
Any help would be greatly appreciated
