Thanks chaps, Is there any reason that breakers chat on ch 19, in the 80s we used 14/19 to break and pick a channel...?

I have been a busy boy today, I insalled my new High Gain Silver Rod Twig, it went well and the SWR was spot on..... The Cobra was still quiet as Im waiting on the skip.... [-o<

What I would do is remove and assisted amps for a start, set up the aireal SWR to its lowest point, there is section on here for the correct setup... I can point you to a few sites if you like. make sure that the coax on your twig is ok and not damaged in anyway.

yyou need a frequancy counter pluged in to be exactly on the nose as ssb works in freq not channels

???? a channel is a preprogrammed frequancy. AM, FM, SSB all work on frequancies just programmed into channels.
